Jaliya S. Kumaratilake is a Senior Lecturer in anatomy at Discipline of Anatomy and Pathology, School of Medical Sciences, University of Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. He holds a PhD (1984) in Veterinary Pathology from Murdoch University, Western Australia, Australia and Bachelor of Veterinary Science (1974) from School of Veterinary Sciences, University of Ceylon (Sri Lanka). His research interests lie in the areas of trace element biology, connective tissue biology, neurobiology and medical education. In addition, he is a dedicated teacher and teaches Anatomy and Comparative Anatomy to undergraduate Medical and Science students and Anatomy to surgical and radiology trainees.
